Presentation

...woot! :)

The presentation went well, I mentioned the majority of the things I wanted to say.
That, 'The Street' was a major influence to the project and how the choice of artists in the gallery was done so as to comply with the feel of the locale that is Newtown.
Also, having a guest architect there for extra perspective was nice.

1:100 Scale Model

The Art gallery Model was made at one to one hundred scale, from white card.
A white foam core sheet was also used as a base.

A 'Scaled Peg' has also been added to the model as one of the featured artist's works.

Miller and Oldenberg

Matching to the location of Newtown, artists Frank Miller and Claes Oldenberg have decided to exhbit their works in this bohemian neighbourhood. Miller's work show scenes from the dark alleys of Basin City aka Sin City. The contrast of black and white, with emphasis with colour truly gives depth to his panels. Oldenberg has a number of sculptural pieces which are, forgive the pun, larger than life. These works make you see the world in a whole new light.
